Wildlife
In this workshop, you will learn about different equipment and lenses that will help you get the best wildlife shots. There are ways to get up close and personal with everything from tiny bugs to beautiful birds without scaring them away. In this class you will gain an understanding of zoom versus prime lenses, telephoto versus macro, focal lengths/angles, and depth of field.

This class covers the basics for everything from butterflies to bears. Everyone can be a backyard or park wildlife photographer; however, professional level wildlife photographers are a different breed. Wildlife photography requires a lot of patience and perseverance. Come see if you have what it takes in this course.
$125 / 3 hours / 10 student maximum
We will learn about the following:
- Camera gear and lenses specifically for wildlife photography
- Additional accessories (filters, teleconverters, tripods)
- Lens motor types (when sound is an issue)
- Lighting (low light, white skies, narrow aperture zoom lenses)
- Using aperture to minimize distractions
- White balance
- Exposure and bracketing
- Shutter speeds and "burst mode"
- Focus modes, focus areas, and focus points (AF Eye if applicable)
- Composition
- Planning for the best times (day, time of day, season)
- Situational awareness and safety
- Backpacks and hiking gear
- and more!
