Try Before You Buy
In this workshop you get to try out different equipment and lenses to determine which camera and/or equipment is right for the type of photos you want to take. Learn about camera body options and sensor formats, and receive a list of suggested equipment tailored to your needs before you invest.

Camera Basics: Buttons & Dials
In this hands-on class you will learn all about the different settings, dials, and parts of your DSLR camera. Bring your own, or borrow one of ours, as we go step by step through all the buttons and functions. A DSLR camera can feel a little overwhelming; we can help!

Get Your Camera Off Auto
Want to take better photos? Get your camera off auto! We will show you how to use all the settings on your camera and understand what they are used for. We will cover depth of field and aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. With these tools you can take better portraits, freeze action, and get perfect lighting.

Photo Fun!This class takes place over 4 weeks during 1 1/2 hour lessons. Rolling enrollment means you can join any week! In this course you will learn a bunch of cool photography techniques that focus more on the abstract and fun aspects of composition and less on the settings and camera functions. No prior camera knowledge is needed and if you don't have a camera there are loaners to use. Join us in a stress-free environment with a focus on enjoying the moments.

Basic Photoshop or LightroomEven the best professional photographers use post production programs to make their photos "pop." Post production photo editing can be used to correct lighting, change colors and saturation, or to blend two photos together to get the best of both worlds (compositing). In these workshops you will learn the basic tools, a few simple and efficient ways to make corrections to images, and some fun tricks.

Composition BasicsComposition is the "art" behind the photo. This class will focus more on the artistic aspects of photography and feature less emphasis on the technical settings and modes. You don't need a DSLR or mirrorless camera for this class. This class is suitable for smartphones, bridge cameras, and point-n-shoot. Includes 30 day lesson book in addition to 2 hours of class instruction. Get to know the elements of composition that take an image from good to great!
